No Guarantee of Repair

While our volunteer repairers will make every effort to fix your items, we cannot guarantee that all repairs will be successful. Some items may be beyond repair or may require parts that are not available.

Volunteer Service

All repairs are carried out by volunteers who donate their time and expertise. They are not professional repair businesses and do not provide warranties or guarantees for their work.

Liability

Repair Café Leighton Buzzard and its volunteers accept no liability for:

• Damage to items during repair attempts
• Loss of data from electronic devices
• Items that cannot be repaired
• Any consequential losses arising from failed repairs
• Personal injury or property damage resulting from the use of repaired items

Your Responsibility

By bringing items to our Repair Café, you:

• Accept all risks associated with repair attempts
• Confirm that you own the item or have permission to have it repaired
• Acknowledge that data backup is your responsibility
• Agree to test repaired items safely and at your own risk
• Will not hold volunteers or the organization liable for any issues arising from repairs

Data Security

For electronic items, you must back up all important data before bringing them to the Repair Café. We cannot be held responsible for any data loss that may occur during the repair process.

Electrical Safety

While we follow safety procedures, you should have any repaired electrical items checked by a qualified electrician before use if you have any concerns. Test repaired items in a safe manner and discontinue use if any problems occur.

Items We Cannot Accept

For safety and practical reasons, we cannot accept:

• Items containing hazardous materials
• Items that pose a safety risk
• Items we believe may be stolen
• Items prohibited by our policies
